SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – San Francisco police are investigating a downtown shootout in the 6th and Market area that reportedly killed one person.

San Francisco Police have not released details of the incident, but an investigating officer confirmed that officers were shooting near that intersection. Traffic in the region is affected.

The SFMTA confirmed that police activity was affecting the Muni lines on Market Street.

According to several media reports, at least three people were shot dead shortly before 5 p.m.

One person was reportedly dead and the other two people injured in the shooting sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
