The choice of word that sums up the evolution of the San Francisco urban landscape over the past 10 years is simple: profound.
After that it gets very difficult, very quickly.
Architectural trends can seem irrelevant in a region where the demand for housing is so strong and so many well-known locations have changed. However, if we ignore how our surroundings are treated, the physical characteristics that make that place memorable can be undermined.
