Architects Woods Bagot modernized the food courts at San Francisco Airport and took the opportunity to create an outdoor viewing platform.

The upgrades, located in the international terminal building, were prompted by the airport’s REACH (Revenue Enhancement And Customer Hospitality) initiative to become a premium gateway.

Stalls, banquets, and communal tables are set in a palette that is said to match the natural Bay Area landscape, while small nooks and crannies are decorated with silver fish scale tiles from the area. Large groups can spread out on communal tables made of wood and steel and individuals can join in.
