Life in a big city can be great, but today many are choosing to move to a less crowded, more picturesque area. However, some would prefer not to be too far from a metropolis – this is where a house like the mansion at 27 Bellevue Avenue comes into play. Located on California’s coast in Belvedere, right across from bustling San Francisco is a commute if you have a boat or two in your personal fleet. The new offering, priced at $ 14.9 million, has both a dock and a boat lift so seafarers will feel right at home.

The house was built in 2009 for Philippe Kahn, an engineer and technology entrepreneur who is credited with inventing the cell phone camera. His predilection for sailing flowed into the design of the house – Kahn’s team, Pegasus Racing, has competed in competitions around the world. According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, he decided to discharge the property because his daughter decided to attend high school in Santa Cruz.

After that sale, the 4,200-square-foot excavation was picked up by another, more anonymous, Silicon Valley businessman who completely remodeled it in 2015. The current furniture and interiors were provided by Juan Montoya Design. You can keep everything to yourself.

Since it is on the water, the house is fitted with many large glass windows so that the owners can enjoy the spectacular views from inside as well. The residence has three bedrooms, four full baths, and two half baths. Many of the features of the home have the feel of a yacht, such as: B. on-site secured bar stools, tasteful nautical decor and sliding walls made of glass doors that open to the outside even in the “cabins”.

The story goes on

Of course, that’s what’s most attractive outside. There’s a custom outdoor bar, pool, and spa, plus an outdoor shower and plenty of space for waterfront entertainment. Go down to the dock and there is built-in parking for your yacht of your choice as well as a boat lift to keep it safely in place. (There is also a parking space on the property in the form of a garage for one car.)

And it’s just a short drive from San Francisco. “We traveled with one of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors players from 27 Bellevue to Chase Stadium in SF on the owner’s Catalyst 45 boat,” said Compass listing agent Bill Smith. “We did it in 10 minutes.”
