CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) – A body was found in Lake Chabot Regional Park, authorities said Wednesday.

The East Bay Regional Park District police said on Twitter that the department was made aware of the partially decomposed remains on Monday by a park visitor.

Park police said investigators were working with the forensic medicine department of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office to identify the body and gather evidence.

Further details were not available. All areas of the Chabot Regional Park were currently open, said the park police.
